Working Principle
The module receives analog/digital field signals from I/O units via backplane bus, converts raw sensor data into standardized engineering values, executes pre-programmed control logic and PID calculation cycles, outputs control commands to corresponding execution I/O channels. It synchronizes real-time process data to operation stations and engineering stations over Vnet/IP industrial Ethernet. Redundant CPU pairs maintain real-time data synchronization through dedicated inter-board bus; upon main CPU failure, standby unit takes over all control tasks instantly without process halt.

Applicable Industries
Petroleum refining, natural gas processing, chemical manufacturing, thermal power generation, pharmaceutical fine chemical, water treatment, pulp & paper, food & beverage continuous production, metal smelting
Installation Requirements
- Install inside standard Yokogawa CENTUM VP rack cabinet, DIN rail fixed with locking buckle
- Maintain ≥20 mm vertical clearance above and below module for convection heat dissipation
- Cabinet internal air circulation required, ambient temperature strictly controlled within 0–55 ℃
- Separate power cable and signal wiring to reduce electromagnetic crosstalk
- Earth cabinet grounding terminal with resistance ≤4 Ω
- Do not install adjacent to high-power frequency converter or high-voltage contactor
Usage Precautions
- Power off rack before plugging/unplugging module to prevent backplane bus short circuit
- Only use official Yokogawa CF storage cards; third-party flash media causes data loss risk
- Avoid mechanical impact on module front panel during maintenance
- Do not expose module to corrosive gas, oil mist or conductive dust environment
- Calibrate redundant synchronization bus every 12 months for long-term stable backup
- Do not modify internal circuit components; disassembly voids factory warranty
