Working Principle:
The RH101AA receives the process signal via its universal input terminals. The input signal is digitized by a 16-bit ADC and scaled to engineering units using user-configurable range parameters. The processed value is displayed on the LCD. Every 0.5 seconds, the value is stored in non-volatile EEPROM memory with a timestamp. When the process value crosses either alarm setpoint, the corresponding SPDT relay changes state to activate external alarm devices.
Advantages / Highlights:
- Universal input compatibility eliminates need for multiple instrument types
- Non-volatile trend memory retains data during power loss
- Large 14 mm digits for excellent visibility from distance
- IP65 front panel provides protection against washdown environments
- Universal power supply (85–265 V AC) simplifies inventory management
Applicable Industries:
- Food and Beverage Processing
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
- HVAC and Building Automation
- Water Treatment
- Light Industrial Process Control
Installation Requirements:
- Cut 92 mm x 45 mm opening in the control panel
- Mount using included snap-in clips from the rear of the panel
- Connect field wiring to screw-clamp terminal block (max 2.5 mm² wire)
- For alarm relay outputs, connect external devices to terminals AL1 and AL2
- Ensure minimum 50 mm clearance behind the panel for wiring access
- Connect power to terminals L and N (AC) or + and – (DC)
Usage Precautions:
- Do not exceed the maximum input voltage of 50 V DC on mV/mA inputs
- For thermocouple inputs, use correct thermocouple extension wire to avoid measurement errors
- Cold junction compensation (CJC) is automatic; do not disable it
- Do not open the housing while powered — risk of electric shock
- Clean the front bezel with damp cloth only; do not use solvents
