Working Principle
Multi-type sensor analog signals enter front terminal block, pass surge protection and isolated signal conditioning circuits to match input impedance for current, voltage, RTD or thermocouple signals. Conditioned signals convert to digital data via independent 15-bit A/D converters for each channel. On-board microprocessor executes cold junction compensation, RTD wire resistance correction, digital filtering and wire break fault detection. Calibrated digital measurement data transmits to C200 main controller via backplane digital bus, fault codes and real-time process values uploaded to Experion PKS HMI for control logic operation and equipment monitoring.
