Working Principle:
The P0916FH operates on the same force-balance principle as the standard P0916AE. The field-hardened modifications do not alter the fundamental operating principle but add environmental protection layers: conformal coating prevents moisture-induced short circuits, Viton® seals maintain integrity across the extended temperature range, internal potting absorbs vibration energy, and the drain fitting prevents water accumulation. The positioner continues to convert 4-20 mA DC to 3-15 psi with the force-balance loop, but all components are selected and treated to survive conditions that would degrade a standard unit.
