Function & Principle:
  • Magnetic coupling from rotameter float actuates sealed reed switch inside the KS1 housing
  • NO or NC dry contact closes/opens at user-set flow alarm point
  • Must be used with a certified intrinsically safe barrier in safe area (e.g., Yokogawa KFD2-SR2-Ex or equivalent)
Installation & Notes:
  • Set alarm position by sliding KS1 housing along rotameter glass tube and locking with set screw
  • Do NOT install the IS switch itself in the hazardous area without proper IS barrier in the safe area
  • Keep away from strong external magnetic fields which could falsely operate the reed
