Working Principle:
When a HART transmitter is connected to the 4–20 mA input, the RH916XZ’s microcontroller demodulates the HART signal (1200/2200 Hz FSK) superimposed on the 4–20 mA carrier. The HART data is decoded and displayed as secondary process variables, device status, and diagnostics on the LED display. The primary process value (4–20 mA) is displayed on the main LED line. The HART signal is passed through transparently to the DCS. Simultaneously, RS-485 Modbus provides conventional digital communication.
