Communication: RS-232C (programming), RS-485 (link)
-
Compatible I/O: G2 I/O series
-
Station Bus: Yes
-
Ethernet: No native (requires expansion)
-
Mounting: Controller base unit
Functional Features:
-
Deterministic scan execution
-
Retentive data registers with battery backup
-
Watchdog and self-diagnostics
-
Converts/migrates to PUM11/PUM12 in newer T-series
Working Principle:
The CPU reads G2 I/O image tables via station bus, executes user logic in cyclic scan, and refreshes outputs. Communication ports allow HMI/SCADA polling via proprietary Toshiba protocol or Modbus RTU through RS-485.
Application Scenarios:
-
Medium-scale factory automation
-
Water treatment PLC panels
-
Legacy Toshiba DCS/PLC retrofits
-
Material handling sequence control
Installation Requirements:
-
Seat firmly into T-series base
-
Provide 24 V DC control supply to I/O racks
-
Isolate RS-485 bus ends with termination resistors
Usage Notes:
-
Not directly pin-compatible with PUM-series CPUs without conversion kit
-
Backup program before firmware changes
-
Keep firmware matched to TPDS engineering tool version
