Functional Features
Four-quadrant control enables motoring and regenerating in both directions. Integrated protection reduces damage from short-circuit or earth faults. Compatible with Kollmorgen MTC drive platforms for position, speed and torque commands. IP00 construction requires installation inside a suitable cabinet or machine enclosure.
Performance Parameters
Standstill torque 4.79 Nm at 15 A provides precise low-speed holding. Peak 24.5 A supports acceleration demand. 3000 rpm maximum speed covers indexing, feeder and light servo tasks. F-class insulation supports elevated winding temperatures within the stated ambient range.
Materials And Construction
Metal motor frame and end shields, 3-phase stator windings, permanent-magnet rotor, terminal or connector interface according to MTC configuration, and industrial coating where specified.
Working Principle
The drive supplies controlled 3-phase voltage to the stator according to command position, speed or torque. The rotor follows the magnetic field. The four-quadrant output stage regulates current in both directions for acceleration, deceleration and regenerative braking. Feedback devices are selected according to the complete MTC system configuration.
Application Scenarios
Small CNC axes, labeling machines, feeders, textile equipment, semiconductor handling, medical automation and general industrial positioning where compact 3-phase step/servo performance is required.
Installation Requirements
Install inside an IP-rated enclosure because the motor is IP00. Use specified 3 x 43 VAC supply and optional 24 VDC auxiliary where required. Connect to a compatible Kollmorgen MTC drive. Ensure grounding, short-circuit protection and ventilation. Avoid excessive ambient temperature above 45 °C.
Usage Notes
Do not expose the bare motor to dust, moisture or direct contact. Verify standstill and peak current settings before operation. Inspect insulation and connections periodically. Confirm feedback and drive parameter set before substituting MT308B1-E2C1 for another MTC motor.
