Structural Characteristics
- Extended 12-inch chassis to accommodate dual rear IOM connector ports
- Single front terminal block serving both redundant IOM modules, no duplicate field wiring
- Dual rear edge connectors mechanically lock two analog input IOM units simultaneously
- Full-length DIN rail mounting base for stable rack fixation
- Internal PCB split into primary and secondary redundant signal circuit zones with isolation barrier
Working Principle
Field analog sensor signals terminate on front shared screw terminals; internal signal splitting circuits duplicate conditioned analog and HART signals to two independent isolated rear connector paths feeding primary and secondary redundant analog input IOMs. If primary IOM loses communication or power, internal passive signal switching circuits maintain unbroken signal delivery to secondary IOM without field wiring modification. Surge protection and channel isolation circuits operate identically for both redundant signal paths.
Advantage Highlights
- Single field wiring terminal set for dual redundant IOMs, eliminates duplicate field cable runs
- Sub-8ms redundant switchover time ensures zero loss of analog process measurement signals
- Integrated HART multiplexing and surge protection built into redundant base unit
- Certified for SIL 2 safety loop redundant analog input architectures
- Single DIN rail mount simplifies redundant I/O rack layout engineering
Applicable Industries
Critical safety process control loops: refinery, chemical reactor control, power plant boiler instrumentation, offshore oil platform, pharmaceutical sterile batch manufacturing
Installation Requirements
- Mandatory pairing with two identical redundant analog input IOMs (CC-PAIX01 / CC-PAIH01)
- Install on 35 mm standard DIN rail inside Class 1 industrial control cabinet
- All field analog cables utilize shielded twisted pair, single-point earth connection at CC-TAIX11 ground lug
- Minimum 15 mm vertical clearance above chassis for passive heat dissipation
- Cabinet protective earth bus hardwired to IOTA dedicated earth terminal screw
Usage Precautions
- Both paired redundant IOM modules must run identical firmware revision versions
- Do not exceed 30 VDC transient voltage applied to any field input terminal
- Separate high-voltage power wiring from analog signal cables routed to CC-TAIX11
- Avoid over-tightening terminal screws beyond specified torque rating to prevent housing damage
- During IOM hot-swap maintenance, verify redundant secondary IOM online status before disconnecting primary unit
