Working Principle

The module receives digital setpoint values from the C300 controller via the I/O link. Internal D/A converters convert the digital commands into proportional 4-20 mA current signals. The output circuits provide drive capability for field actuators, with HART communication superimposed on the current loop for smart device configuration and status monitoring.

Installation Requirements

  • Install on Series C IOTA terminal base with proper alignment
  • Connect field actuator wiring to detachable terminals on the IOTA
  • Ensure load resistance does not exceed the maximum rating for each channel
  • Power is supplied through the IOTA backplane
  • Mount vertically in control cabinet to facilitate heat dissipation

Usage Precautions

  • Do not connect inductive loads without proper surge suppression
  • Verify loop impedance before commissioning to ensure output linearity
