Working Principle

Quartz optical lens captures ultraviolet radiation emitted by fuel combustion flame; UV light penetrates dedicated filter and irradiates solid-state UV sensing tube to generate weak photocurrent; internal amplification circuit converts photocurrent into standard flame presence switch signal and transmits to burner controller; when UV radiation signal disappears continuously for 2 seconds, internal circuit cuts off output signal and triggers burner safety lockout protection.

Installation Requirements

  1. Install sensor head on burner dedicated sight tube via 1/2 inch NPT thread, apply high temperature thread sealant
  2. Align sensor detection view angle fully toward stable flame combustion zone without mechanical obstruction
  3. Maintain maximum 15m wiring distance between sensor and burner control unit with shielded signal cable
  4. Separate signal cable routing from high-current burner ignition transformer power cable
  5. Reserve heat insulation gasket between sensor base and high-temperature furnace shell to reduce heat conduction

Operation Precautions

  1. Prohibit scratching quartz optical window; scratch damage blocks UV light and causes detection failure
  2. Regularly clean optical window surface soot accumulation every 30 days of continuous operation
  3. Do not install sensor facing direct sunlight; solar ultraviolet radiation will trigger permanent false flame signal
