EPRO MMS6312

Product Name
Dual-Channel Rotational Speed Monitor
Product Introduction
EPRO MMS6312 is a high-precision speed monitoring module within the MMS6000 machinery protection platform. It measures rotational speed, standstill, key-phase, direction, and differential speed from pulse or eddy-current sensors for turbines, compressors, pumps, and motors.

Functional Features
Dual independent speed channels, automatic or manual trigger adjustment, sensor open/short detection, self-diagnostics, redundant power input, hot-swap capability in supported racks, and integration with MMS6850 analysis system.
Working Principle
The sensor produces pulses proportional to shaft rotation or key-phase position. MMS6312 counts pulses, measures frequency, converts frequency into speed values, evaluates standstill and direction, and activates analog outputs or relay alarms when limits are exceeded.
Application Scenarios
Turbine overspeed protection, compressor surge-control speed feedback, boiler feed pump monitoring, motor speed and direction supervision, and critical rotating-machine protection systems.
Structural Characteristics
6 TE plug-in module, differential input stage, isolated power section, microprocessor evaluation circuit, RS232/RS485 interface, front LEDs for status and fault indication.
Installation Requirements
Mount in 19-inch MMS6000 rack with redundant 24 V DC supply. Connect pulse or eddy sensors to differential inputs with shielded cable. Terminate RS485 bus at both ends. Use approved configuration software for trigger level, alarm setpoints, and channel mode.
Usage Precautions
Match sensor output amplitude with trigger setting. Avoid sensor supply voltage above specified maximum. Verify RS485 termination to prevent signal reflection. Keep module ventilation clear and inspect self-diagnostic logs during maintenance.
