Working Principle
Field temperature sensor analog signal enters the isolated input front-end circuit; internal high-precision ADC converts resistance/millivolt sensor signals into digital temperature values. Onboard microcontroller executes linearization correction for thermocouple/RTD non-linear characteristics, maps user-configured temperature measurement range to standard 4–20 mA current loop signal. High-frequency isolation transformer separates field sensor circuit and control side loop circuit to eliminate ground potential difference interference, standardized current signal transmits to DCS/PLC analog input modules via two-wire loop wiring.

Applicable Industries
Chemical process plants, oil & gas refineries, power generation boilers, food & beverage thermal processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing furnaces, water treatment temperature monitoring
Installation Requirements
- Mounting Standard: Vertical 35 mm DIN rail mounting inside IP54+ sealed control cabinet
- Vertical Clearance: Minimum 20 mm top and bottom air gap for passive heat dissipation
- Sensor Wiring: Shielded twisted pair instrument cable for thermocouple/RTD input; matching thermocouple extension wire mandatory for thermocouple sensors
- Loop Wiring: Standard two-core shielded cable for 4–20 mA output loop, single-point ground shielding at control room side
Operation & Maintenance Notes
- Re-calibration verification required every 24 months per ISO process control standards
- Thermocouple extension wire must match thermocouple alloy type to avoid cold junction compensation error
- Do not install TEU471 adjacent to high-power variable frequency drives without minimum 15 cm separation distance
- Spring-cage terminals must fully clamp wire copper core; frayed wire strands will cause unstable measurement signal
- Intrinsic safety wiring specifications must strictly follow ATEX zone wiring regulations for hazardous area deployment
