Phoenix Contact MCR-PSP-DC

Product Name
Phoenix Contact MCR-PSP-DC Programmable Limit Value Switch
Product Introduction
The MCR-PSP-DC is a programmable threshold or limit value switch from the Phoenix Contact MCR measurement and control range. It acquires voltage, current, resistance, RTD and thermocouple signals, compares them with adjustable setpoints and operates galvanically isolated relay outputs for alarm or control duties.

  • Building and process plant limit switching
  • Panel-building alarm annunciation and safety interlock support
Performance Parameters
  • 2 Hz sampling provides stable monitoring for slow process variables
  • 0.1% transmission accuracy maintains precise threshold control
  • 1 kVAC isolation supports mixed-signal cabinets
  • Two independently configurable relays cover redundant alarm paths
Material And Construction
  • Flame-retardant molding with green housing identification
  • Plug-in screw terminal block with M3 screws
  • Silver-nickel gold-plated relay contacts for low-contact resistance
  • DIN 35 mm rail clip and labeled configuration switches or software port
Working Principle
The input stage conditions voltage, current, resistance or temperature signals and converts them to a standardized digital measured value. The internal comparator evaluates the measured value against programmed setpoints. When the value crosses a limit and the response delay elapses, the corresponding relay changes state. Isolation barriers separate field input from the 24 VDC supply and relay outputs.
Installation Requirements
  • Mount on 35 mm DIN rail inside IP54 or higher cabinet
  • Supply 24 VDC with proper fuse and short-circuit protection
  • Use shielded cable for thermocouple and low-level signals
  • Connect relay outputs to alarm, contactor or PLC input circuits
  • Configure sensor type, range and setpoints before applying field signals
Usage Precautions
  • Operate only with 20 VDC to 30 VDC supply
  • Do not exceed 250 VAC or 2 A per relay contact
  • Respect IP20 rating and install inside enclosed cabinet
  • Verify thermocouple compensation and RTD wiring type before start-up
  • Prevent ambient condensation and maintain stated temperature range
