Working Principle

The module receives analog signals from field instruments, conditions the signals through filtering and amplification circuits, and converts them to digital values via a high-resolution A/D converter. The digital data is transmitted to the C300 controller over the I/O link for process control, alarm management and data logging.

Installation Requirements

  • Plug into corresponding Series C IOTA (Input Output Terminal Assembly) base
  • Field wiring connects to two-level detachable terminals on the IOTA
  • Power is supplied through the IOTA backplane; no external power supply required
  • Mount vertically in control cabinet for optimal heat dissipation and wiring access
  • Configure jumper settings for each channel according to voltage or current input type
