Working Principle
Converts wide-range industrial AC mains input to isolated, stabilized 24 VDC low-voltage power via high-frequency switching power topology; internal voltage feedback loop continuously adjusts switching duty cycle to maintain constant output voltage regardless of AC input fluctuation or load current variation. Built-in fault detection circuits monitor output voltage, load current and internal component temperature; triggers immediate shutdown and fault signal transmission upon out-of-limit parameters. Parallel redundant modules share rack load equally via built-in current balancing circuitry.

- Universal 85–264 VAC input eliminates regional mains voltage adaptation hardware
- Fanless passive cooling eliminates fan failure points and dust accumulation risks
- Redundant parallel operation enables zero downtime power maintenance
- High power density reduces rack space occupation for power infrastructure
- Native fault signal integration with Experion PKS control system for predictive maintenance
- Full industrial EMC compliance for high-noise factory environments
Applicable Industries
All process control industries deploying Honeywell Experion PKS C300 DCS: oil & gas, chemical, power generation, water utilities, mining, pharmaceutical manufacturing
Installation Requirements
- Mount vertically on dedicated Series-C I/O rack power slot, no horizontal installation allowed
- Maintain minimum 30 mm unobstructed airflow space on top and bottom of module
- AC input wiring must use 14 AWG minimum copper wire with dedicated circuit breaker protection
- Parallel redundant CC-PWRB01 modules require matched firmware revision versions
- DC output bus must hardwire directly to I/O rack backplane power distribution bar
- Cabinet ventilation fan mandatory if rack ambient temperature exceeds 50 °C continuous
Usage Precautions
- Never operate module with output load exceeding 150 W continuous rating
- Do not connect non-Series-C external I/O loads directly to module DC output terminals
- Regularly clean heat sink fins of accumulated dust to prevent thermal overheating
- Isolate AC input wiring from analog signal field cables to avoid electrical noise coupling
- Replace module immediately if fault LED remains illuminated after load disconnection
- Do not stack other heat-generating power modules adjacent to CC-PWRB01 rack slot
