Working Principle

  5. 16-bit A/D converter converts continuous analog current signal into discrete digital measurement data
  6. On-board communication chip transmits digital measurement data to CENTUM main controller via ESB internal system bus according to configured sampling cycle

Installation Requirements

  1. Insert into dedicated analog input slot of Yokogawa CENTUM CS3000 or VP backplane, lock side buckles tightly
  2. Install matched TB37G or TB38G terminal base below module for field transmitter wiring
  3. Field signal wiring uses shielded twisted pair cable, single-point grounding of shielding layer inside DCS control cabinet
  4. Keep ≥10 mm heat dissipation gap between adjacent modules to ensure air circulation cooling
  5. For explosion hazardous area application, install matched isolation safety barrier on front end of each signal channel
  6. Cabinet internal ambient temperature must be controlled within -20°C ~ +70°C operating range

Usage Precautions

  1. Strictly prohibit input of AC high voltage signal into channel terminals, will damage internal isolation transformer
  2. Do not reverse connect 24 V DC backplane power supply terminal, permanent damage to module internal power circuit
  3. Regularly clean terminal base dust every 6 months to prevent poor wiring contact and measurement deviation
  4. This model S50 has no HART communication function, cannot read or write parameters of smart HART transmitters
  5. Do not disassemble plastic outer shell without authorization, internal channel isolation circuit will be destroyed
  6. When channel fault alarm occurs, first check field transmitter wiring continuity before replacing module
