- Exposed calibration screws for easy adjustment
- Quick-disconnect air fittings (1/4″ NPT)
- Multi-point test connections on terminal block
Working Principle:
The P0916BT operates on the same force-balance principle as field-mounted units. During bench testing, a simulated valve load (spring or pneumatic cylinder) is connected to the output port to replicate actual actuator forces. The test technician applies known input signals (4, 8, 12, 16, 20 mA) and verifies the output pressure response. Zero and span are adjusted using front-panel controls until the positioner meets specification.
Advantages:
- Rapid calibration and performance verification
- Reduces field commissioning time
- Cost-effective maintenance and overhaul verification
- Consistent testing environment ensures repeatable results
- Compatible with all P0916 field models for cross-verification
Applicable Industries:
- All industries using P0916 positioners (maintenance shops)
- OEM valve assembly facilities
- Third-party calibration laboratories
- Plant instrument maintenance departments
Installation Requirements:
- Indoor use only — not rated for outdoor or hazardous area installation
- Connect to clean, dry air supply at 20 psi (1.4 bar)
- Connect simulated load to output port per test procedure
- Use calibrated mA source and psi gauge for verification
Usage Notes:
- Do not install in the field — this is a bench-only configuration
- Perform full calibration cycle (zero, span, linearity, hysteresis) before release
- Document all test results per quality procedures
- Return to storage in clean, dry environment after use
