Working Principle
Operator key inputs are scanned by the pendant processor and transmitted to the XRC controller CPU through the shielded serial interface. Motion commands, I/O requests and program edits are executed by the controller and fed to servo amplifiers. The emergency stop and deadman circuits are wired directly into the controller safety relay chain for immediate power removal.
Installation Requirements
Connect only to the designated XRC teach pendant port. Secure cable with strain relief and cable carrier support. Verify connector keying before mating. Mount nothing additional to the pendant housing that blocks ventilation or safety buttons.
Usage Precautions
Use exclusively with XRC controllers. Never bypass the three-position deadman switch. Test emergency stop before each teaching session. Keep the cable away from sharp edges, hot surfaces, oil pools and moving robot links.
