Functional Features
- Four fully galvanically isolated temperature measurement channels eliminating cross-channel noise interference
- Independent user-configurable high-limit and low-limit safety trip thresholds per thermal zone
- PID auto-tune routine for automatic proportional, integral, derivative gain parameter calculation
- Latching alarm relay output for critical over-temperature fault conditions with manual reset requirement
- Sensor break detection logic triggering fault alarm upon open thermocouple/RTD wiring failure
- Front-panel digital display independent for each channel showing real-time process temperature
- Non-volatile flash memory retaining all setpoint, limit, and PID configuration parameters through power loss
Working Principle
Each isolated measurement channel samples resistance/voltage signals from connected thermocouple or RTD temperature sensors at fixed 100 ms scan intervals. Internal signal conditioning circuit converts raw sensor signal to calibrated temperature value, which is displayed on dedicated channel front-panel LED readout. Compares measured process temperature against user-programmed PID setpoint and safety limit thresholds. PID control algorithm calculates required heating/cooling relay output duty cycle to maintain target setpoint temperature. If measured temperature exceeds programmed high/low safety limit value, latching alarm relay activates to cut heating power circuits until manual operator reset is performed. Sensor break detection continuously monitors input circuit impedance to flag open wiring faults and trigger safety shutdown logic.
