Working Principle

The built-in indexer executes motion programs stored in non-volatile memory or received via serial communication. It generates step pulse trains and direction signals based on programmed target positions, speeds and acceleration profiles. The drive stage converts these logic signals into regulated bipolar winding currents using 20 kHz PWM chopper technology. Digital Electronic Damping circuitry dynamically adjusts current waveforms to suppress motor vibration and resonance. Discrete I/O lines interface with external sensors and actuators for machine sequencing.

Installation Requirements
  • Mount vertically for optimal convection cooling
  • Connect DC power with properly sized over-current protection
  • Terminate RS-485 networks with 120 ohm resistors at both ends
  • Configure I/O direction via jumpers before application
Usage Notes
  • Do not operate above 50 °C ambient temperature
  • Program acceleration values within specified limits to avoid stalling
  • Ensure proper system grounding to prevent communication errors
  • Back up programs stored in NVRAM periodically
