Working Principle

68-pin shielded DAQ cable transmits multi-channel analog/digital/counter signals from NI DAQ controller card to BNC-2110 internal signal routing PCB; PCB distributes individual measurement signals to corresponding front-panel BNC coaxial connectors; full copper shielding blocks external electromagnetic interference from power supplies, motors and radio frequency equipment; user-configurable jumpers adjust measurement topology and logic pull resistance to match test sensor electrical characteristics; RC filter networks attenuate high-frequency ambient noise superimposed on low-level analog measurement signals.

Advantage Highlights

  • Standard 50Ω BNC interface compatible with all laboratory signal generators, oscilloscopes and transducers
  • Full electromagnetic shielding enables high-precision low-level voltage measurement in noisy lab environments
  • Integrated RC noise filters eliminate requirement for external signal conditioning hardware
  • All signal channels physically separated on front panel for rapid test setup wiring
  • Universal compatibility with all NI 68-pin multifunction DAQ hardware platforms

Applicable Industries

Academic laboratory measurement, automotive component test benches, aerospace sensor calibration, electronics product validation, medical device signal testing, semiconductor wafer characterization

Installation Requirements

  1. Place unit on flat non-conductive laboratory bench surface; avoid direct contact with metal equipment frames
  2. Connect SH68-68-EP shielded cable between BNC-2110 rear D-SUB port and DAQ hardware card
  3. Terminate all coaxial cable shield grounds to dedicated ground BNC ports for differential measurements
  4. Set internal configuration jumpers prior to connecting test sensors to match measurement topology
  5. Maintain minimum 30cm separation from variable frequency drives, power supplies and high-power test equipment

Usage Precautions

  • Do not apply voltage exceeding ±10 VDC to analog input BNC ports; internal circuit damage occurs
  • Keep enclosure ventilation side slots unobstructed to prevent internal heat accumulation
  • Disconnect DAQ cable before modifying internal configuration jumpers
  • Use only 50Ω impedance coaxial test cables for all BNC signal connections
  • Clean BNC connector contact surfaces monthly with isopropyl alcohol to prevent signal attenuation from oxidation
