Working Principle:​ High-frequency oscillator in CON011 excites the probe coil; metallic shaft induces eddy currents that damp oscillation amplitude proportionally to gap; CON011 demodulates gap into voltage.
Installation Requirements:​ Probe installed in machine housing bracket with torque 2.5–3.5 Nm; initial air gap set to mid-range (typically -12 V output); CON011 on 35 mm DIN rail inside cabinet, shielded cable grounded at one point.
Application:​ Steam/gas turbines, compressors, pumps, fans in power, petrochemical, steel plants.
Notes:​ Never interchange with Bently 3300 XL (different calibration/connector); recalibrate gap after probe removal.
