  • IPv4 static routes (up to 64)
  • Syslog, NTP, SNMP v3

Performance Parameters:

  • Latency: 1.5 μs
  • Buffer: 8 MB shared
  • Copper Port Auto-Negotiation: 10/100/1000 Mbps, auto-MDI/MDIX

Structural Features:

  • 1U rack-mountable
  • Front: 8 SFP cages + 8 RJ-45 ports with per-port LEDs
  • Rear: 2 × 10G SFP+, console (RJ-45), USB, dual PSU
  • Hot-swappable fan

Working Principle:
Hybrid switching — SFP ports handle optical traffic, RJ-45 ports handle copper traffic. Both are bridged internally by the ASIC switching fabric. The management CPU configures VLANs, ACLs, and QoS policies which are downloaded to hardware. 10G SFP+ ports serve as uplinks or stacking interconnects.

Advantages:

  • Hybrid fiber + copper in a single 1U switch — reduces rack space
  • 10G SFP+ uplinks for high-speed aggregation
  • Full enterprise security suite
  • Stacking for unified management
  • Cost-effective alternative to separate fiber and copper switches

Applicable Industries:

  • Enterprise campus (building wiring closet)
  • SMB networks
  • Hospital departmental switches
  • School / university lab networks
  • Surveillance / IP camera networks (copper access + fiber uplink)

Installation Requirements:

  • 1U rack space with proper ventilation
  • Cat5e/Cat6 cables for RJ-45 ports (max 100m)
  • SFP modules for fiber ports (single-mode or multi-mode)
  • Dual PSU on separate circuits
  • Ground chassis to building earth

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not exceed 100m cable length on copper ports
  • Use shielded cables in high-EMI environments
  • Enable spanning tree on all trunk ports
  • Set 802.1X on all access ports for security
  • Verify SFP module compatibility (Extreme Networks or 3rd-party compatible)
