Working Principle (Thermal Dispersion):​ Two RTDs on the flow tube — one heated above fluid temp, one senses fluid temp. As gas flows, heat is carried away proportionally to mass flow → electronics calculate mass flow from temperature differential.
Installation & Precautions:
  • Install with straight runs (min. 10×D upstream, 5×D downstream) unless flow conditioner used.
  • Ensure gas is clean and dry — particulates/fluids damage sensor.
  • Orient sensor as specified (horizontal pipe → sensor horizontal; vertical → flow upward preferred for gas).
  • Do NOT exceed max pressure or temperature ratings.
  • Bond/shield signal cables separately from power; ground at one point.
  • Select correct gas type in menu — mis-selection causes significant error.
