Working Principle​
The supply module provides DC-link voltage. The LTS350D inverts this into controlled three-phase voltage and frequency for the spindle EC motor. Spindle encoder and CAN data return angle, speed, torque and status. The controller executes the tightening program, regulates current for target torque, monitors motor temperature and identifier data, and uses the integrated contactor plus XDN3 release logic for safe motor stop.
Installation Requirements​
Install in BT356 rack or SB356 enclosure with adequate fan cooling for 0-55 °C operation. Connect the DC supply module to the specified intermediate-circuit terminals. Connect XDS2 14-pin spindle cable with U/V/W, encoder, CAN, 12 V logic, 24 V spindle supply and PE. Configure XDN3 motor-release contacts and S2 according to LTS/LTE commissioning rules. Allow IP20 cabinet protection and ventilation clearance for the 46 x 271 x 285 mm body.
Usage Precautions​
Disconnect DC-link and wait the specified discharge time before service. Use only Rexroth-compatible spindles and cable lengths within 100 m. Do not operate above 330 V DC intermediate circuit or outside 0-55 °C with fan. Protect XDS2 and XDN3 from ESD. Verify motor identifier, temperature sensor and CAN termination before automatic tightening programs run. Reset faults only after correcting the underlying spindle, torque or communication condition.
