Working Principle

When voltage is applied to the coil, electromagnetic force pulls the armature toward the magnetic core, mechanically transferring motion to the contact assembly. This action closes normally open contacts and opens normally closed contacts. When coil power is removed, a return spring forces the armature back to its resting position, restoring contacts to their original state. The electromagnetic principle provides fast, repeatable switching operation.

Installation Requirements

  • Mount on standard 35mm DIN rail or mounting plate
  • Ensure proper torque on terminal screws
  • Allow minimum clearance for heat dissipation
  • Install in vertical orientation as specified
  • Use appropriate wire gauge for rated current

Operating Notes

  • Verify coil voltage matches supply before energizing
  • Do not exceed rated current on any contact pole
  • Periodically inspect contacts for wear and oxidation
  • Use surge suppression for inductive coil loads
  • Ensure proper labeling of all connected circuits
