    Structural Feature:​ Horizontal insert into Compact baseplate; RH916TA sits below holding field wires; module extracts upward without disturbing TA wiring.
    Working Principle:​ CP/FCP writes output image table to FBM242 over redundant field bus. Local FPGA/latch drives MOSFET gates. External field supply switches through MOSFET to load and returns to TA common. Loss of bus triggers fail-safe state machine.
    Installation Requirement:​ Seat FBM242 in powered baseplate only after RH916TA field wiring inspected. Use 24 VDC instrument supply isolated from 120/240 VAC field supply. Fuse every channel at TA on inductive loads. Leave 1 slot ventilation gap in 8-wide FBM groups.
    Usage Note:​ Do not feed 120 VAC into a 24 VDC-only configured channel group. Set fail-safe before valve actuators are mechanically connected. MOSFET outputs need freewheeling diode on DC solenoid loads.
