Microsonic MIC+130/IU/TC

Product Series: microsonic mic+ Series — cylindrical M30 version
Product Brief: Non-contact ultrasonic proximity/distance sensor for level, position, and object detection; measures distance via time-of-flight (echo propagation time) and provides one configurable analog output (4–20 mA / 0–10 V) plus two programmable switching (NPN/PNP) outputs. Equipped with TouchControl pushbuttons and 3-digit LED display for teach-in configuration.

Description
Working Principle: Emits ultrasonic pulses (200 kHz transducer); measures round-trip echo time to calculate target distance; internally compensates for air temperature; converts result to analog signal and/or evaluates against configurable switching thresholds.
Measuring Range:200 mm – 2,000 mm (usable working range 200–1,300 mm typical, max. detectable to 2,000 mm)
Blind Zone:200 mm
Transducer Frequency:200 kHz
Resolution:0.18 mm – 0.57 mm (depending on analog window setting)
Repeatability:±0.15 %
Accuracy:±1 % of measured value (with internal temperature drift compensation)
Supply Voltage (Ub):9 V DC – 30 V DC, reverse polarity protected
No-load Current Consumption:≤ 80 mA
Outputs:
  • Output 1 — Analog: 4–20 mA or 0–10 V (selectable rising/falling characteristic, short-circuit protected; 0–10 V requires Ub ≥ 15 V)
  • Output 2 — Switching: PNP, Imax = 200 mA, NO/NC selectable, short-circuit protected
  • Output 3 — Switching: PNP, Imax = 200 mA, NO/NC selectable, short-circuit protected
Response Time:110 ms (typical); delay prior to availability < 300 ms
    Switching Hysteresis:20 mm
Inputs: 1× COM input; synchronization input supported
    Connection Type:5-pin M12 (A-coded) male connector
Housing Material: Nickel-plated brass sleeve; end caps and sensing face in PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) and TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)
Transducer Membrane Material: Polyurethane foam with glass-filled epoxy resin
    Protection Class:IP67 per EN 60529
    Operating Temperature:–25 °C to +70 °C
    Storage Temperature:–40 °C to +85 °C
    Weight:≈ 150 g
Display / Configuration: 3-digit 7-segment LED + 2× three-color status LEDs; 2 pushbuttons for Teach-in and numeric config via TouchControl; compatible with LinkControl software (LCA-2)
    Temperature Compensation: Internally active
Synchronization / Multiplex: Supported (multiple sensors can be synchronized to avoid crosstalk)
Applicable Industries: Automotive manufacturing, packaging & filling lines, logistics/warehousing (pallet/stack height), food & beverage (non-hygienic washdown zones), AGV obstacle detection, paper & printing (web edge/double-sheet detection)
Installation Requirements: Mount with M30 threaded barrel using lock nuts; ensure transducer face is unobstructed within blind zone; avoid mounting multiple units facing each other without synchronization; sensor axis should be perpendicular to flat target for best accuracy.
Usage Notes: Do not expose transducer membrane to aggressive solvents or mechanical impact; for transparent/fluffy/very soft materials verify echo return in application; analog output load resistance must comply with loop specs (≥ 500 Ω for current output); periodic re-teach may be required if acoustic environment changes significantly.
