Working Principle

An on-board FPGA computes real-time generator electrical parameters and transmits calculated excitation demand setpoints to the main AVR control logic via the VME backplane bus. Real-time operating data is simultaneously transmitted to plant SCADA via the Profibus DP field bus interface.
