Working Principle
Single-phase AC mains input passes internal EMI filter and full-wave rectifier to generate DC bus voltage for three-phase inverter power stage. The onboard 32-bit DSP motion processor receives motion commands from analog, pulse or fieldbus interfaces and reads high-resolution position feedback from the motor encoder. Closed-loop PID algorithm calculates three-phase sinusoidal current output for brushless motor stator windings to precisely regulate motor torque, speed and position. Smart Encoder detection circuit interrogates motor encoder memory on power-up to load motor rated voltage, current and pole count parameters automatically. Internal sampling circuits continuously monitor bus voltage, output current and power stage temperature; fault conditions immediately disable inverter switching and latch fault information to internal memory for host bus readout. CANopen/SERCOS communication interface synchronizes motion setpoints with adjacent rack-mounted servo drives for multi-axis coordinated movement.

Installation Requirements
- Install module exclusively inside matching Parker AR series multi-axis rack chassis; rack mounted vertically in IP54 rated industrial control cabinet
- Maintain minimum 15 mm vertical airflow gap between stacked drive modules inside rack
- Motor encoder wiring must use shielded differential twisted pair cable separated from high-current motor power cables
- Rack chassis connected to dedicated protective earth ground bus for EMI noise suppression
- Cabinet forced cooling fan mandatory for continuous full-load operation above 35 °C ambient temperature
Usage Precautions
- Do not apply AC mains voltage exceeding 264 VAC to input terminals; internal rectifier circuit permanent damage occurs
- Confirm encoder wiring pinout matching Parker Smart Encoder standard before power-on; miswiring triggers encoder loss fault
- Limit continuous operation above rated 4 A output current to maximum 1.5 seconds to avoid thermal shutdown
- Clear rack ventilation filter monthly to prevent dust accumulation blocking heat sink airflow
- Store spare modules in temperature-controlled low-humidity storage environment to prevent gold-plated backplane contact oxidation
