LS2A4L is an industrial heavy-duty limit switch from the HDLS stainless steel series. It is built for corrosive, washdown and marine environments where a rugged side rotary actuator, snap-action double-break contacts and sealed stainless construction are required.

Functional Features​
Snap-action DPDT with two normally closed and two normally open circuits. Double-break contacts for increased safety. Stainless steel body, head and rotary shaft. Fluorocarbon seals for chemical resistance. Boss-and-socket head retention, all-metal drive train, self-lifting pressure-plate terminals, twin shaft seals on side rotary versions.

Working Principle​
A side rotary cam or externally fitted lever rotates the shaft. The shaft drives the internal snap mechanism. At the preset pretravel point the double-break contacts change state, opening the two NC circuits and closing the two NO circuits simultaneously. The stainless body and seals keep water, dust and chemicals away from the contact chamber.
Installation Requirements​
Mount with standard HDLS screw holes or panel cutout compatible with the stainless body. Install a side rotary lever or cam accessory if actuation requires mechanical input. Connect conductors to the non plug-in terminals and route the cable through 0.75 in NPT conduit. Bond the grounding terminal. Verify actuator pretravel and overtravel before applying load. Use stainless actuators and fluorocarbon-sealed accessories for full corrosion service.
Usage Precautions​
Do not exceed 600 V AC or 250 V DC per contact rating. Keep ambient temperature within -12 °C to 121 °C. Use only compatible HDLS stainless levers; the base model ships without lever. Avoid conduit openings that break the NEMA 4X/6P seal. Inspect shaft seals in high-pressure washdown or submersion service. Follow UL, CSA and local electrical codes for hazardous location evaluation because standard LS2A4L is not automatically classified for explosive atmospheres.
