Working Principle The encoder uses an optical scanning principle. A rotating glass disc with precise opaque and transparent segments passes between an LED light source and an array of photodetectors. The light and dark patterns are converted into electrical pulse signals. Quadrature signals A and B provide speed and direction information, while the Z signal provides a single reference pulse per revolution.

Installation Requirements

  • Align shaft with application to avoid excessive radial and axial loads
  • Maximum radial shaft load: 80 N
  • Maximum axial shaft load: 40 N
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +70°C

Operation Notes
