Working Principle:
Host writes I/O image to card RAM; netX ASIC serializes DP telegrams, manages token/bus arbitration, returns slave data to RAM; interrupt notifies driver.
Applications:​ Soft-PLC bridging to Siemens drives, retrofit of CNC machines, SCADA front-end.
Installation & Wiring:
Insert in PCIe slot, install INF driver, set station address in SYCON, terminate bus with 220 Ω at ends, bond shield to cabinet earth.
Precautions:
Do not run 12 Mbps on unshielded cable >50 m; PCIe x1 required minimum; mixing master/slave firmware images bricks card until reflash.
