FOXBORO RH916DD

Product Introduction: RH916DD belongs to the RH916xx family of Foxboro I/A Series termination assemblies and terminal bases that mate with Compact FBM modules. In the FBM242 context it represents a specific TA/base variant carrying 16 discrete output channels with field-side disconnect and external source wiring points.

Description
Technical Specification:
  • Mount: DIN rail or 19-inch cabinet sub-panel
  • Field Power: External DC/AC (not backplane sourced)
  • Channels: 16, aligned to FBM242
  • Included Elements: Channel fusing positions, current-limit resistors, disconnect screws, shield clamp
  • Voltage Class: Supports 15–60 VDC, 120 VAC/125 VDC, 240 VAC field side
Material Composition: Glass-reinforced thermoplastic body, tin-plated brass terminals, stainless steel saddle clamps.
Structural Feature: Keyed mechanical tongue matching FBM242 module bottom connector; separated logic-side and field-side compartment barriers; integrated fuse holders.
Working Principle: Provides the physical breakout between FBM242 solid-state switches and field loads. External supply enters TA, passes through fuse and output screw, returns through FBM switch to load return.
Installation Requirement: Torque field screws to 0.8 N·m. Use 2.5 mm² stranded copper for ≤2 A channels. Mount vertically for convection. Label external supply polarity before power-up.
Usage Note: RH916DD is not hot-swap alone; the FBM242 above it is hot-swappable, the TA stays wired. Verify DD suffix matches your plant’s wiring drawing—DD, NC, TA and XG differ in cable exit, fuse type and relay option only.
