Working Principle
Receives low-level field signals from IOTA wiring base; onboard signal conditioning circuit converts raw analog/digital signals to standardized digital data via 16-bit ADC; transmits digitized data to C300 controller over FLEX I/O backplane bus. For output commands, receives digital control instructions from controller, converts to conditioned analog/digital drive signals via DAC, routes to field actuators through isolated output circuits. Independent channel isolation circuits eliminate cross-signal crosstalk and ground loop interference.
Advantage Highlights
- Single module replaces dedicated AI/DI/AO/DO pulse modules, reduces cabinet hardware quantity
- SIL 2 safety certification applicable to safety instrumented system loops
- Channel-level self-diagnosis reduces field troubleshooting downtime
- Hot-swap design enables online maintenance without process shutdown
- High-density 32-channel layout minimizes control cabinet space occupation
- Unified software configuration reduces engineering configuration workload
Applicable Industries
Oil & gas upstream/downstream, petrochemical, thermal power, nuclear auxiliary control, pharmaceutical batch processing, food & beverage production, water treatment, pulp & paper, metallurgy
Installation Requirements
- Must mate exclusively with matching CC-TUIO31 non-redundant IOTA wiring base
- Install on standard 19-inch industrial control cabinet DIN rail
- Maintain minimum 20 mm vertical clearance above/below module for passive heat dissipation
- Use shielded twisted-pair field wiring, cable shield single-point grounded at IOTA terminal block
- Module backplane bus must connect to C300 controller I/O rack power backplane
- Ambient installation environment must avoid direct water splash, corrosive gas accumulation
Usage Precautions
- Strictly prohibit reverse polarity 24 VDC power supply input; reverse connection triggers permanent internal circuit damage
- Do not exceed per-channel and total module rated output current
- Avoid module operation under condensing humidity environment; install cabinet air conditioning or dehumidifier if ambient dew point risk exists
- Hot-swap operation must follow Experion PKS maintenance lockout procedure to prevent temporary signal loss
- Regularly inspect terminal block screw torque to avoid loose wiring contact resistance drift
- Do not stack external heat-generating equipment directly adjacent to module rack
