Working Principle

Three-phase power conductors pass through the solid toroidal magnetic core simultaneously. Under balanced normal operation, vector sum of three-phase magnetic flux equals zero, no induced secondary voltage, relay maintains open circuit (DEN logic). When insulation breakdown creates ground leakage current, flux vector sum deviates from zero, inducing secondary coil voltage proportional to leakage magnitude. Internal comparator triggers relay closure once flux exceeds calibrated trip threshold to output fault signal to PLC, safety relay or alarm panel.

Installation Mandatory Requirements
