  1. Technical Specifications
    • Power Supply: 24V DC, 120V AC, or 240V AC with a power consumption of 5VA.
    • Channel Parameters: Three interconnected and fully floating input circuits are configured. Each channel responds to sensors with a voltage range of 7.7 – 9.0V DC supplied by a 1kΩ source.
    • Input/Output Characteristics: For each channel, the relay is energized when the sensor circuit current exceeds 2.1mA (or the resistance is less than 2kΩ), and de-energized when the current is less than 1.2mA (or the resistance is greater than 10kΩ). The nominal hysteresis of the circuit is 200μA (650Ω).
    • Contact Rating: The maximum rating for AC is 250V, 5A, 100VA; the maximum rating for DC is 250V, 5A, 100W. Reactive loads need to be suppressed during use.
    • Response Time: The nominal response time of each channel is 50ms.
    • Environmental Limits: The maximum ambient temperature it can withstand is 60°C.
    • Certification Standards: It holds certifications including IIC, Baseefa No. EX 88B2114BS 550: Part 7: 1977, and EN 50 020. It is suitable for Zone 0, IIC, T6 hazardous areas and Div 1, Group A hazardous locations.
    • Physical & Weight Details: The weight of the device is 260g. Unlike the previous model MTL 2212, only terminal 8 can be used for grounding connections.

  1. Functional Features
    • Mixed Input Compatibility: It can be used with a combination of light-duty on/off switches and certified proximity detectors, adapting to diverse industrial control input requirements.
    • Phase – Reverse Function: By linking terminals 7 and 8, the operating state of all three relays can be reversed, enabling alarm signals to be sent for either state of the sensors as needed.
    • Comprehensive Fault Protection: It has power supply failure protection that de-energizes all relays and opens their contacts when the power supply is cut off. It also has broken line protection; if a line is broken, the corresponding channel relay de-energizes and opens contacts. Additionally, it offers fail-safe earth fault protection; when terminal 8 is grounded, the relay de-energizes if the total resistance from both lines to the ground is less than 25Ω.
    • Broad Power Supply Adaptability: Supporting three types of power supplies (24V DC, 120V AC, 240V AC) allows it to be integrated into various industrial power systems without the need for additional power conversion equipment.
    • Stable Load Control: With its fixed contact rating, it can stably control various resistive loads within the rated range, ensuring the reliable operation of connected safe-area equipment.

    • Industrial Automation Production Lines: In general manufacturing fields like automobile assembly and electronic component production, it is used to link position – sensing proximity detectors and manual control switches, controlling the start and stop of small motors, lighting and alarm devices on the production line.
    • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Workshops: In clean and hazard – controlled pharmaceutical production environments, it controls the operation of material transmission equipment and process detection instruments through connecting switches, ensuring the safety and stability of the production process while meeting the industry’s strict safety standards.
